Intro to Indie Game Development

I've started to concept out my first ever game. It's going to be a platformer with an adorable main character. Look, see! Isn't it just the cutest thing?
So I've got a plan for how this character will move, what the levels will look like, and how the game should play. Art shouldn't be a huge hurdle. I just have to tap into latent skills to get it going. Once the art's done I can plop it into Unity and feel pretty okay.

Then comes the actual gameplay. The programming. All the coding and math and stuff I plain don't know how to do. But I'm learning. Slowly. It's hard to keep the motivation up when I struggle to remember how to make a box move using C#.

I know, I know. I could always work with someone that DOES know these things, but I want this to be a solo project because a) I'm stubborn as hell and b) I want to learn how to do as much as I humanly can. If I learn this now, who knows where it can take me.
